Parastatals
Agencies under the Ministry
Two dedicated parastatals work alongside the Ministry to advance tourism development and cultural preservation across Taraba State.
Taraba State Tourism Development Board
The Taraba State Tourism Development Board (TSTDB) is a key parastatal under the Ministry of Heritage and Ecotourism, responsible for promoting, developing and coordinating tourism activities across Taraba State.
The Board plays an important role in identifying and promoting the State's diverse tourism assets, including its natural landscapes, cultural heritage, festivals, wildlife and other attractions. It also works to position Taraba as a competitive tourism destination by encouraging investment, developing tourism products and strengthening partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
The Board is headed by Mrs. Christiana Mark Useni, Managing Director, who provides leadership for the agency's programmes and initiatives aimed at advancing tourism development and promoting Taraba's tourism potential.

Taraba State Arts Council
The Taraba State Arts Council is a parastatal under the Ministry of Heritage and Ecotourism established to promote, preserve and develop the artistic and cultural heritage of Taraba State.
The Council serves as an important platform for the development and promotion of the State's performing and creative arts. Its activities include the presentation and preservation of traditional music, dance, drama, cultural performances, arts and crafts, as well as the promotion of Taraba's diverse cultural expressions.
Through its programmes and performances, the Council contributes to cultural preservation, talent development, youth engagement and the projection of Taraba State's rich cultural identity locally, nationally and internationally. The Council has continued to represent the State at major cultural events and platforms, showcasing the traditions and artistic heritage of its people.
The Council is headed by Mrs Apunarimam Tuktur, a Director, who oversees its administration, programmes and artistic activities in accordance with the policies and objectives of the Ministry of Heritage and Ecotourism.
